What is reciprocity?
It is an agreement between international mountaineering associations which has as its objective the promotion of mountaineering through the unitary introduction of the right of reciprocity in the respective refuges of the Alpine area, the Pyrenees, the Sierra Nevada, the Picos de Europa and the Apennines for the signatory associations of the convention.
Who joins?
The signatories of the agreement are the Mountaineering Associations listed below

What are the benefits of reciprocity?
When you attend a refuge of another Association you will enjoy the same rights and duties, in particular as regards the overnight stay fees, of a member of the association that owns the refuge.

How do you understand if a mountaineer can take advantage of these advantages?
Must be in possession of the Association membership card stamped or pasted with the symbol shown below, or attached a reciprocity stamp indicating the current year.
Furthermore, associations that are not signatories to the agreement can also request this mark from the Secretariat of Reciprocity in Bern.
